Our journey began over sixty years ago when my father, Stuart Jackson, started cutting opals at just fifteen years old—learning the craft by hand and following in the footsteps of his gemologist mother before him. What began as a young artisan’s curiosity grew into a lifetime of mastery, guided by patience, precision, and a deep respect for each stone’s natural character.

Today, it is my privilege to continue that legacy and share our family’s story with you. Every opal you see here has been carefully selected and cut with intention, sourced exclusively from the opal-rich fields of Coober Pedy, South Australia. Each gem reflects our commitment to ethical mining, sourcing, exceptional quality, and timeless beauty.
